Making Counseling Accessible
At Family Life Resource Center, we believe financial circumstances should not prevent individuals, couples, or families from receiving professional counseling.
We work with a variety of insurance plans including Medicaid and offer self-pay and financial assistance options to help make counseling accessible to our community.
We Work With Your Insurance
Family Life Resource Center accepts a variety of insurance plans, including Medicare, Medicaid, and other major insurance providers.
Because coverage varies from one plan to another, your actual cost will depend on your individual insurance benefits, deductible, copay, coinsurance, and other plan requirements.
Our administrative staff can help you understand your options and work with your insurance as part of the billing process.

Self-Pay: Paying Directly for Counseling
You may choose to pay directly for counseling if you:
- Do not have insurance
- Choose not to use your insurance
- Have insurance that does not cover your services
- Prefer to keep your counseling separate from your insurance
Our standard self-pay rate is $130 for the first appointment and $115 for each subsequent counseling session.
We will discuss the cost of services with you before your first appointment so you understand what to expect.

Missed or Late-Cancelled Appointment Fees
A fee may apply when an appointment is missed or cancelled without sufficient notice.
Please contact our office for details about our cancellation policy and applicable fees.
Financial Aid
We strive to make mental health services affordable and accessible to all. With the support of FLRC donors, we offer a sliding scale scholarship program to help those without insurance and with limited income. Please email the completed form to services@flrc.org, print and return a completed copy to our office or bring it in directly to our office.
At Family Life Resource Center, we employ administrative staff who are available to schedule appointments, take payment, and answer any questions about insurance. Acceptable payment methods are cash, check, and credit card.
Insurance policies will often cover mental health services, and we will be happy to discuss your specific plan with you.
Any payment not covered by medical insurance will be the responsibility of the client or guardian.
